Originally making a name for himself on the New England independent wrestling circuit, life-long horror fan, Barry Ace describes his transition from the ring to the screen as "an accident".

In 2002, Ace met Dante Darrk, and they became good friends. Darrk was intrigued by Ace's "Sebastion" character, which he was portraying in the ring at the time, and the two collaborated on different horror related projects. In 2006, Ace had the idea to create a Friday the 13th parody called "Jason's Day Off", in which the viewer would get to see what Jason did when there was nobody around Crystal Lake to kill. Darrk was reluctant to participate at first, but agreed after Ace told him this was probably going to be the closest he ever got to directing a Friday film. The end result was not just a Friday the 13th parody; but a Friday the 13th parody that had a life of it's own and was extremely popular with many Friday fans, and several Friday alumni as well. 3 sequels were made.

In 2007, Ace was injured in a skateboarding accident. While recuperating, he began working on The Bob Show, a sketch comedy show run by longtime friend from wrestling, Bob "Damian Darkside" McCarthy. He was part of sketches such as "Mafioso", "America's Next Top Moron", "Watchingmen", "X-Guyz", and perhaps the favorite of any Bob Show fan, "He's Having a Baby". The next year, Ace landed a recurring role in the hit web series High Heel Samurai, playing FBI Agent Pierce Styles. He also made his big screen debut as a prison inmate in the film What Doesn't Kill You which starred Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke, and Amanda Peet. He also had his first role in a horror film: Shades of Evil, appearing alongside Bob Show cast-mates, Bill McLean and Rob Rivas. Growing up a horror fan, this was a dream come true.

One night in 2009, Ace had a strange dream: one that he thought would make a great short horror film. He called up Dante Darrk, and the two began filming what is now known as Visions of Vengance. When released, all the reviews were positive. Shortly afterwards, he had a role in Bob McCarthy's My Big Brother. He later filmed and released Visions of Vengance 2: Night Terrors and The Grave Robber. He also had a cameo in Greth Productions horror-comedy, Meat Me In Plainville.

Ace also appeared in The Fighter, Mission Park, The Rude, The mad, And The Funny, and an Adidas commercial.
