Kane Hodder was born in Auburn, CA and is best known for being one of the Jasons in Friday the 13th. But unlike the others who have donned the mask, Kane is the only Jason to play the role more than once (unless you count Ken Kirzinger and Derek Mears). A good portion of his body was severely burned in a stunt mishap; his arms and hands took the worst of it, and he normally wears gloves to hide the scars on his hands as a result.

Hodder met director John Carl Buechler on the set of a movie called Prison. Buechler was hired to direct Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood and cast Hodder for the role of Jason. Although Buechler was not re-hired for Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Hodder was, and was then seen as the definitive Jason, reprising the role two more times in Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X. Although Kane offered to reprise the role of Jason for Freddy vs Jason, the role was unfortunately given to Ken Kirzinger. This caused much controversy amongst fans. Many of which still have high hopes that Hodder will one day wear the mask again. Interestingly enough, at the end of Jason Goes to Hell, Kane also played Freddy Kreuger in the scene where Freddy's arm pulls Jason's mask into the ground.

Since leaving Jason behind, Hodder stars in the Hatchet series, playing Victor Crowley. He also played to real life serial killers: Ed Gein, and the "B.T.K." killer, Dennis Radar. He currently stars on the FEARnet series Fear Clinic, along with fellow horror legends Robert Englund, Lisa Wilcox, and Danielle Harris.

Hodder is the only actor to portray Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kreuger, and Leatherface. He has also expressed desire to play Michael Myers in a Halloween film. The hardcore rock band "Kane Hodder" was named after him, with his permission, of course.
